Outer Banks & Coastal
The Outer Banks and North Carolina sounds offer world-class inshore and offshore fishing. Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is the premier launch for offshore trips to the Gulf Stream — the closest blue water access on the East Coast. Manteo Waterfront Marina provides Roanoke Sound access. Wrightsville Beach near Wilmington has excellent Intracoastal ramps for inshore fishing.
Charlotte & Piedmont Lakes
Lake Norman is the Charlotte metro's boating hub — the state's largest man-made lake with over 520 miles of shoreline. Ramsey Creek Park and McCrary Creek Access are the best public ramps.
